Who is Anthony Bradley?
Dr. Anthony Bradley was most recently professor of religious studies and director of the Center for the Study of Human Flourishing at The King’s College and now serves as a distinguished research fellow at The Acton Institute and Research Professor of Interdisciplinary and Theological Studies at Kuyper College.
Who is Pete Nicholas?
Rev. Pete Nicholas is an Englishman in New York who moved to become the Senior Pastor at Redeemer Downtown in 2022 with his wife Rebecca, and two children, Oliver, and Tobi. Rebecca is a Reconstructive Surgeon. They have been married since 2008. Pete came to faith in Christ at university where he was studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics and playing rugby. This was followed by a Masters Degree, and a brief and unsuccessful time playing more rugby in a semi-professional capacity before he started working as a Management Consultant. He was soon called to pastoral ministry where he worked for Christians in Sport, before a time at seminary, and then planting a church in London, where he also helped found and lead the City to City initiative - the London Project. Pete has authored the books: A Place For God, Five Things To Pray For Your City, and Virtually Human: Flourishing in Digital World.
What to expect?
At Redeemer Downtown, you’ll find a community of people who don’t just want to know the truth of the gospel, but who want to experience it—here in New York. By connecting with each other, learning to know Jesus, and serving our city, we take part in what God is doing and allow ourselves to be shaped by it.
Our Sunday services are identical except for their musical style. 10 a.m. has classical/eclectic music with kids and youth programming provided. Our 5 p.m. service has contemporary/eclectic music. Both services offer a time of coffee, refreshments and conversation after.
