At Redeemer Downtown, you’ll find a community of people who don’t just want to know the truth of the gospel, but who want to experience it—here in New York. By connecting with each other, learning to know Jesus, and serving our city, we take part in what God is doing and allow ourselves to be shaped by it.
Being a church in New York City, we hear people ask a lot of big, important questions. How should we live? How can we be happy? What does faith look like? And we welcome those questions—celebrate them even. Because we believe curiosity is deeply valuable in knowing Jesus and living for Him every day.
So, whether you’ve been going to church for years, have never attended a Sunday service, or are just now learning about Christianity—we welcome you, and we’re excited to get to know Jesus together.

Our spiritual formation model and the accompanying worksheet provides a pathway and diagnostic tool to help us grow to become like Jesus in his character and purposes.
Scripture kindles a flame in our hearts of love for God when our love too easily grows cold and gives us the spiritual fuel to not grow weary of doing good to others while resisting our natural selfishness.
Through Habit Workshops, Praise & Prayer nights, meals with church officers, and connection opportunities for various groups, we will endeavor to support each other in our spiritual formation.
